Founders College has allocated more than $3,000,000 in scholarship funds for academic years 2007 to 2011. The scope and variety of scholarship opportunities supports our educational philosophy of providing total access for all students on an international level. As a new educational resource in Virginia, we are also committed to the region and will cultivate collaborative relationships with all high schools and colleges. We have created several regional programs, the Berry Hill Scholarships and the High School Superintendent Scholarships, to encourage local students and graduates to learn, live, and work in their local communities.
Candidates for all scholarships are evaluated on Founders College acceptance standards, which include GPA, an essay, letters of recommendation, a personal interview, and either work or life experience. In addition, we consider the student’s level of interest in intellectual growth and their personal and professional objectives. SAT and ACT scores are not required. All scholarships are valid for four years of study at Founders College and are contingent on the student’s consistent academic performance of a C or better average.
