Academic Programs

As soon as possible, students begin discussing with their academic advisors a plan for their majors. Founders offers Bachelors and Associates Degrees in following majors:

The major may be in any of the fields offered at Founders College. Within those fields, our faculty members work with students to design a coherent and structured plan of study, which may include advanced seminars and independent study, in addition to normal course work. To complete a major, a student must take at least seven courses in a given subject. The relevant courses taken during the first two years count towards a student’s major. So, for example, if a student majors in economics, then the “Introduction to Economics” course in the core curriculum counts as one of the seven courses required to earn an economics major. The purpose of the junior and senior years is to focus on a particular subject and to add to the breadth of knowledge and thinking skills gained from the core curriculum.
